New Family Past Time

We have gone bowling a couple of times and Jenna loves it. The bowling alley in Leduc is great because it is not too busy so we have lots of room. And Brooklyn crawls and walks all over, so at least she is not getting bothering anyone else.

Brooklyn turns ONE!

Happy Birthday Brooklyn! This lucky girl actually had two cakes - one when Grandma came to visit, and then again on her real birthday. Good thing Jenna was around to show her how to blow out the candles and open presents. The birthday festivities did not seem to phase Brooklyn.

Thank God the cold snap is over! Now if it would only stop snowing. It was an awfully long month. Good thing the kids got lots of new toys for Christmas. However, some days that still wasn't enough to keep us all occupied.

With all the time indoors, Brooklyn has mastered the stairs. And as you can see from the picture, she is very pleased with herself.

Note, that it was -47 (with windchill) on the day that Jenna decided to wear a sundress. Perhaps she was trying to visualize a nice hot day in order to keep warm.

Christmas 2007

Another Christmas has come and gone. I still get excited for Christmas but I am always glad to get back to normal after the holiday. Even Jenna is asking when it is time to go back to preschool.

We had a wonderful Christmas with my Mom and Mandy coming to visit. We also had Christmas Dinner in Calgary with Billy's family. Jenna had a great time baking, wrapping presents and especially opening presents. Brooklyn was taking it all in. I am sure that she will be much better prepared for the season next year.

It is hard to believe that Brooklyn is nine months old already. She is getting so big so fast. Here are some pictures I took today. Of course, anytime Brooklyn gets any sort of attention, Jenna is not too far behind.

November

November was jam packed. Billy's niece Lilly turned two and his niece Kaitlyn turned five. Billy celebrated his birthday as well, but I won't disclose his age. Jenna had a great time at all the birthday parties.

We also welcomed the snow. On the first snowfall, Jenna had her dad outside at 8:00 am. However, it has gotten much colder since then and we haven't been outside too much. Brooklyn doesn't enjoy the cold at all, nor does she enjoy her winter coat, toque, and mitts. It really gets in the way of sucking her thumb.
