Family Day Weekend

On Family Day weekend we took a trip back to Saskatchewan. The girls were very excited to get to feed the horses and Brooklyn is still talking about the horse pooping almost two weeks later. Apparently it made quite an impression on here. They girls also enjoyed some Valentine's treats from Grandma. Jenna got a chance to play with Grandma's tea set, which she says is the "best tea set ever".

Dancing

On Friday, parents were allowed to come in and watch during Jenna's dance class. Brooklyn has been envious all year, but she took full advantage of being in the class on Friday. Jenna was more than happy to have her as her partner.

Halloween '08

The weather was beautiful this year, which is always nice. Jenna and Brooklyn were both witches. Jenna likes to remind everyone that she " the good witch and Brooklyn is the bad witch".

Brooklyn was a bit of a bad witch. She absolutely refused to wear her costume. She firmly planted her arms across her chest, shook her head, and said "NOPE!" I didn't have the heart to leave her behind, so she did get to go trick or treating. She thought that was wonderful. It was Jenna who decided after about ten houses that she didn't want to go to anymore houses. So I brought the girls home and they sat and ate their candy and handed out candy to the treat or treaters.

Brooklyn enjoying some of her loot!

Sometimes it is nice to be wrong.

I usually shower before the girls get up, but sometimes, I wait until after they have had breakfast. I wait until the girls are busy playing or watching cartoons, then I have a quick shower. On this particular morning, I got out of the shower and the house was quiet. Very quiet. I came downstairs, trying to imagine what they could have possibly gotten into. In my head I am imagining all the things I am going to say to them. I open up Brooklyn's bedroom door and find this......
